Jim Cowart is the founding pastor of Harvest Church, a United Methodist Congregation, in Warner Robins, Georgia. Harvest launched in 2001 using the Purpose Driven church model, emphasizing on reaching the non-churched and letting them know that God accepts them just as they are. Jim encourages a casual atmosphere with cool audio video presentations, a great rock and roll sound and a dynamic kid's program in order to be attractive to the non-churched. Harvest functioned as a portable church for seven years and moved to its present worship facility in December of 2007. Harvest received the 2005 Purpose Driven Church Health Award and was named by Outreach Magazine as one of the top 100 fastest growing churches in the country in 2009, averaging over 2,000 attenders each weekend with four services (Saturdays @ 6:00 PM, Sundays at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and 12:00 noon). A creative strategist, Jim serves as a trainer and coach with NEXT Conferences, which is a networking group of leaders that helps pastors launch and maintain healthy church plants. Jim also does independent coaching networks.
