WHAT WE BELIEVE.
Simply put, we believe in the Bible. We believe Jesus is Lord and that all of His creation has value and purpose. Our mission is to serve God by serving His people, giving Him glory, and magnifying His name. We seek to love the people of Middle Georgia in a way that resembles God's love for us. Harvest is not a cruise ship, we are a battleship on the mission that Jesus has called us to: finding His people and bringing them into His family.
The Harvest Purpose
To bring people to Jesus Christ and membership in His family, to develop them to Christian maturity, and to equip them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.
The Great Commandment
Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets stand on these two commandments.”
The Great Commission
Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.“
We believe a commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a great church.
OUR FIVE PRINCIPLES
YOU CAN'T DO LIFE ALONE.
If Jesus needed to walk through life with other people, then we definitely do, too. And doing life together is just more fun! As we build relationships with other Christ followers, we can encourage each other, pray for each other, laugh together, and learn together.
GROWING PEOPLE CHANGE.
The Apostle Paul knew a thing or two about growth—he started out as an enemy of the church, but was transformed by a dramatic encounter with Christ. Our lives can be changed like Paul’s as we grow more like Jesus.
SAVED PEOPLE SERVE PEOPLE.
God created us to serve Him and to serve other people. Throughout scripture we see that serving is actually a way to not only grow spiritually, but to experience deep joy and meaning in life.
FOUND PEOPLE FIND PEOPLE.
God’s amazing grace is there for us all. Once you have been “found” it’s natural that you would want to “find” others. Simple, it’s one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.
WORSHIP IS A LIFESTYLE.
Worship is much more than the songs we sing. It’s the transformed lives we lead. It’s the way God is present in all that we do and say.
