Baptism is like a wedding ring. It's a symbol. The ring doesn't make you married but is a visible sign of your commitment to your spouse. Similarly, baptism doesn't save you. It is only your faith in Christ that makes you a believer. But your baptism is a visible sign of your commitment to Jesus. "For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
As a United Methodist Church, Harvest baptizes by three methods: sprinkling, pouring (waterfall) and immersion. You can "remember your baptism" as well. "Remembering your baptism" is for people who have been baptized before (perhaps as an infant) and would like to publicly remember their life commitment to Christ.
We're so excited to celebrate with you!
Our next Baptism is on Sunday, October 8th after the 10:30 service. We can't wait to see you there!
